Since our church family has heard of our plans to begin the process to become foster parents, we have been incredibly blessed at the amazing support we have seen. We've had a crib given to us, and several people have offered lots of other items. The other thing I was worried about was trying to find babysitters for the 11 weeks of classes. We knew that asking one family to commit to all 11 weeks was a lot, so we asked 6 families to each take 1 or 2 nights. Every single person we asked immediately agreed to help. We even had people offer and have back ups! The amazing support we've gotten from our church family is an incredible blessing. The families in our church who are already fostering have answered my MANY questions and have offered lots of encouragement. (And, as far as I know, they haven't grown tired of me yet!) All of this before we even start the classes! We thank God for the families He's blessed us with in this church body. We love them all!
